Skall Studio knitting pattern for our classic Oda Knit. (OBS this is NOT including yarn)

With Oda, we wanted a new silhouette: oversized and short-sleeved. It’s a spring sweater with a light, airy feel. The design is relatively simple, featuring only a few cable patterns. Oda is especially meaningful to us because it was part of the first locally produced knitwear we brought to our show in August 2021.

SIZE: XS/S (M/L)

½ CHEST CIRCUMFERENCE: 59 (62) cm

LENGTH: 64 (66) cm

SLEEVE LENGTH: 49 (51) cm

RECOMMENDED NEEDLES: Circular needle 3.5 mm and 4 mm, 80 cm.
Circular needle 4 mm, 60 cm.
Circular needle 3.5 mm, 40 cm.
One small cable needle or double-pointed needle.

YARN: Håndværksgarn from Hjelholts Uldspinderi

CONSTRUCTION

Oda Knit is worked in the round from the bottom up in seed stitch and pattern. The work is divided at the armholes, and the front and back are then worked flat, each separately. The shoulders are sewn together using mattress stitch. Stitches are picked up at each armhole for the sleeves. Along the neckline, stitches are picked up for the ribbing, which is knitted in the round.
